AUSTIN, TEXAS – December 10, 2007 – This week Spiceworks™, Inc. will release the Spiceworks IT Desktop 2.0, the latest version of its free IT management software, which now includes Windows event log monitoring capabilities, increased application performance for larger networks, and new community interaction features that allow IT managers to collaborate to more effectively manage their networks. Coinciding with the release of version 2.0, Spiceworks also announced that it is now being used by more than 200,000 IT professionals at small and medium organizations in 194 countries around the world – doubling its user base in less than six months..

They join other Spiceworks advertisers, such as HP, Rackspace, McAfee, Netgear, Sony and TrendMicro, who have experienced success with campaigns to Spiceworks community of small- and medium-business IT professionals that control over $20 billion in annual technology spend.

• Private Community Messaging – allows the 200,000 Spiceworks users to communicate with each other within the application to solve problems and discuss products.
