Spiceworks Recognizes System Administrator Appreciation Day

A week of festivities, free e-cards and community meet-ups acknowledge IT professionals who keep their organizations running in tip-top shape

AUSTIN, Texas – July 24, 2013 Spiceworks, the vertical network for IT, today announced it will sponsor and host events this week in recognition of System Administrator Appreciation Day. System Administrator Appreciation Day or “SysAdmin Day” is this Friday, July 26th. It was created in 2000 to recognize the world’s 15 million IT professionals, celebrate their workplace contributions, and promote professional excellence. IT professionals support hundreds of millions of employees worldwide across all industries.

In honor of the day, Spiceworks is helping organizations and their employees acknowledge IT professionals with free e-cards. The company is also holding a variety of contests and giveaways in theSpiceworks Community as well hosting and sponsoring appreciation events in the United States and United Kingdom. SpiceCorps, regional groups of Spiceworks users, will meet in cities across North America and Europe. SpiceCorps meet-ups are open to IT professionals interested in networking with peers, learning about the latest technologies, and sharing stories from the IT front lines.
