AUSTIN, TX – September 27, 2021 – At SpiceWorld Virtual 2021, Spiceworks announced their collaboration with Intel to bring IT professionals an administrative dashboard that integrates Spiceworks Inventory online with the Intel Endpoint Management Assistant tool to seamlessly manage their Intel vPro® platform-based devices.
Providing fast and easy IT support is challenging under normal circumstances with in-office environments. With more users working remotely, more devices, and more security threats today, IT professionals need integrated solutions that streamline their workflow. Spiceworks Inventory online allows IT professionals to scan their IP devices in minutes, collect hardware and software information, and connect with the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk.
Driven by 15 years of technology leadership, innovation, and deep industry partnerships, the Intel vPro platform is designed and architected to meet the demands of today’s dynamic business environment. Many IT professionals know and trust the Intel brand with roughly 200 million Intel vPro units currently supported by IT, and up to 30 million units were shipped last year alone. The integration with Intel EMA enables users with direct capabilities to remotely and more securely control devices out-of-band within Spiceworks Inventory online, offering faster, more seamless management of Intel-powered devices.
“Our goal remains to provide IT professionals access to powerful tools that increase efficiency,” said Elizabeth Ronco, Vice President of Product at Spiceworks Ziff Davis. “Intel vPro technology is like a secret weapon – it’s widely available to IT professionals but it’s often underutilized. The Intel integration with Spiceworks Inventory online makes it easier to get started with Intel EMA.”
Users will now be able to identify devices with supported Intel vPro hardware within Spiceworks Inventory online and then activate and begin using Intel EMA. In addition, Intel EMA allows remote control via Intel vPro’s out-of-band hardware KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse), out-of-band remote security patching (regardless of the operating system and power state), and remote secure-erase.
“We’re excited to partner with Spiceworks to bring IT professionals free access to Intel EMA to seamlessly manage their Intel vPro devices within Spiceworks Inventory online, whether it’s five or more than 100,000 endpoints,” said Carla Rodriguez, Sr. Director of Global Ecosystem Enabling, Intel Corporation.
This is an incredible service for any managed service provider or information technology team to meet the emerging challenges of a remote or hybrid workplace and ensure their end-users get the rapid service they need.
