DevOps Specialist Boosts Suite of Enterprise Testing Products

May 3, 2018

The delivery of better software, faster, is one of the key objectives of DevOps. Sometimes it takes a partnership between a developer and an agile testing specialist to bring together the sort of formula that Fortune 500 companies look for in software development.

Yet for many businesses, the path to DevOps can be longer and rockier than expected. That’s because DevOps itself is not simply a set of tools or a job title – it’s a culture. Turning a business into a living, breathing DevOps-enabled machine takes a group of experts that are dedicated to the task at hand.

Forty8Fifty Labs is the software and DevOps subsidiary of Veristor Systems. It boasts decades of field-proven experience in solving the toughest challenges confronting CIOs today, as well as the DevOps teams they lead. It works with companies to accelerate their DevOps journey, partly by assisting with collaboration and streamlining development tasks.

Forty8Fifty is now working closely with QASymphony, an agile testing solutions provider, and will be adding QASymphony’s qTest platform to its suite of products for enterprise test case management and exploratory testing for the entire software testing lifecycle.

The two companies have already been able to close several Fortune 500 deals together in 2017 and claim to have some “very ambitious goals” for next year.

Forty8Fifty Labs espouses an agile approach to operations that aligns development and operations teams behind key business goals. It brings its planning services to the table, including readiness assessments, jumpstart programs and transformation gap analysis evaluations. To achieve this, it requires a range of tools to help it optimize infrastructure.

The qTest platform has been added to this offering. Test analytics and behavioral-driven development (BDD) are among its features.

QASymphony works with more than 500 customers across more than 30 countries, among them Salesforce, Barclays, Cisco, Samsung and Verizon.

Forty8Fifty has been signing clients in the southeastern United States. It has emerged as a leading partner of Atlassian, an established Australian software developer.

As a Silver Authorized member of the QASymphony Partner Program, Forty8Fifty Labs has also contributed to the recently released eBook, The Future of Software Testing, that includes interviews with 12 seasoned industry experts.

qTest integrates with a wide range of open source and commercial software, including Atlassian’s JIRA, VersionOne, CA Agile Central (formerly Rally), Selenium and Jenkins.
